The Club is holding the event on what is generally referred to as the 'Melbourne Cup long weekend'.  We know that not all states have a public holiday to celebrate the running of the Melbourne Cup or take advantage of a long week end by taking the Monday off.  However, the Club is hoping that you will make the time and add this special occasion to your diary. By giving you plenty of advanced notice it is hoped that you will consider joining us to commemorate this special event and participate in all the organised club activities. The dates for the event are Sat 30 October  Tuesday 2 November inclusive. It is sure to be a fun and memorable weekend for all.

In conjunction with the event we are looking for any old photos from the early days of the club. Any photos submitted will be returned in good condition. Also we are hoping to receive donated prizes for our special Effort Draw.

Our weekend will entail lovely scenic and relaxing drives. It will be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends old and new. And much, much more ????

Why Camperdown, I hear you ask? In September 1989, a gathering of 17 SVCC members, (including children) held a meeting to talk over recent events within the club. The meeting turned into the inaugural meeting of a group of keen, motivated enthusiasts and a new club, the Standard Vanguard Enthusiasts Guild (SVEG) was formed. The rest as they say is history ..
